NICA Season Is Coming!
For the 2024 NICA season we are to host practices at Gurney Lane in Queensbury on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Sometimes we will practice at the KP trails in Wilton for a change of pace.
NICA is a youth mountain bike team for kids in 6th-12th grade. As always, NICA is about getting in the woods and having fun, so even though there is the opportunity for racing, it is not required. The cost to join the Grey Ghost Composite team is $140 for the NICA registration through the NICA website. If you wish to race with the team each race has a registration fee of $30 and a Grey Ghost jersey is required.
For equipment, a mountain bike that is suitable for trail riding along with a helmet and a good pair of shoes are needed. Things like bike shorts, gloves and mountain bike knee pads can help make the riding experience more enjoyable but are not required.

A NICA team isn’t possible without a good support group! If you are interested in helping out with the team and being a coach let us know. There is no need to be an experienced mountain biker, just an enthusiastic person. Contact Niles at Grey Ghost Bicycles for more info or to get registered. |
